SirOcelot. I just finally made the website.

Ok, for those who are having problems connecting your X360 to you PC, I have found a solution!

The problem is your UPNP is disabled!

First off, check your 'Router Settings' and make sure 'UPNP' is enabled. Got it? Good.

Ok now, goto START > RUN > SERVICES.MSC

Scroll down to 'Universal Plug and Play Device Host' and Double-Click on it

Change 'Startup Type' to 'Automatic' and hit Apply, then OK (Just be on the safe side ;-)

Now go to this website and download Plug 'n Pray

http://grc.com/UnPnP/UnPnP.htm

It will check and see if your 'Universal Plug and Play Device Host' is enabled (which is probably not).

Enable UPNP from Plug 'n Pray

Now go back to 'SERVICES.MSC'

Scroll down to 'Universal Plug and Play Device Host' again and it should say 'Service Status: Disabled'

Ok good, now make sure 'Startup Type' is set to Automatic, and hit the 'Start' button right under 'Service Status'

Now it should enable your 'Universal Plug and Play Device Host'.

Get back to the list of services and look for 'Windows Media Connect Service'

Now make sure 'Startup Type' is set to Automatic, and hit the 'Start' button right under 'Service Status'

It should also start with no problems (The 1068 Error).

Re-run the program from www.xbox.com/pcsetup

Viola!

After installing Windows Media Connect, it should Detect, and Authorize your X360 with NO problem!

Happy Gaming! -- SirOcelot (www.themkcorporation.com)
